Long before the Covid-19 crises appeared in our lives. isolation is a feeling known and familiar to me, it is part of my life from day one, this piece invites the audience. To observe to reflect on how the influence of the body acts when you live all your life isolated in your own space, How does it feel being isolated, locked away, and processing through your own body as a Palestinian in Palestine? “Clear your mind, observe, take a deep breath..., How does it make you feel?”

Mucho antes de que aparecieran las crisis de Covid-19 en nuestras vidas. el aislamiento es un sentimiento conocido y familiar para mí, es parte de mi vida desde el primer día, esta pieza invita al público. Para observar reflexionar sobre cómo actúa la influencia del cuerpo cuando vives toda tu vida aislado en tu propio espacio, ¿cómo se siente estar aislado, encerrado y procesar a través de su propio espacio? cuerpo como palestino en Palestina? "Aclare su mente, observe, respire hondo ..., ¿cómo le hace sentir?"

bREVE SEMBLANZA

Sahar Damoni is a Palestinian dancer, choreographer, and dance teacher from Shafa-Amer in Galilee. Her body of work deals with the challenges she faces as a woman in Arab and Palestinian society.
Sahar holds a Bachelor of Dance and Movement for Practicing Teachers from Kibbutzim College of Education, Technology, and Arts. She danced with the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company before she began making her own work.
Sahar’s work has been presented in various festivals and platforms in Palestine\Israel and abroad including Intimadance, Movement Research at the Judson Church, Jacob’s Pillow, Echo Echo Dance Festival of Northern Ireland, Internationale Solo-Tanz-Theater Festival Stuttgart, Curtain Up, Suzanne Dellal Centre’s International Exposure, and Ramallah Contemporary Dance Festival, among others.
She has been invited to lecture about her work at Tel Aviv University, Sapir College, Kibbutzim College, and Ben Gurion University.
In 2018 Sahar attended Ponderosa in Germany and participated in “Translucent Borders,” a project exploring ways that dancers and musicians act as catalysts for creative engagement across geographic, cultural, and economic borders, sponsored by New York University and Jacob’s Pillow. In 2019 Sahar was invited to participate in Un/Controlled Gestures, a seminar on dance and body politic, organized by the Goethe Institute, Morocco. She was also invited by Movement Research, NYC, for a month-long residency and performance at Movement Research at the Judson Church as part of GPS/Global Practice Sharing.
In 2020 sahar performed in Virtual Performances and appearances: such as - La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club, New York City, SATURDAY MORNING LIVE – Dead End | Tehran/Ankara/Palestine, Festival de Danza Contemporánea, Mexico City 2020and premiered in her solo performance, “ Do Not Tittle Me” at Intimadance Festival, Tmuna Theatre.
